What are the different Betta types?
There are so many different types of betta fish that you can raise, and each of them have their own distinct colors, shapes and patterns. Betta fish originated in South East Asia, where Siamese Fighting Fish were bred to create the many forms and types that exist today.
The most popular type of betta fish owned by people is the Veiltail Betta. It is the most often bred of the betta fish, and has become more inexpensive than any other type because there are so many to choose from.
Other commonly owned betta types include the Halfmoon Betta and the Crowntail Betta. Each of these fish is well known for their magnificent colors and display, and the colors of both fish are accentuated if placed in an aquarium with exotic lighting.
